What is Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (FET)?
FET serves as the common token of the Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) Alliance, a group of decentralized AI projects. The token predates the alliance. The AI company Fetch.ai created it and offered it to the public on Binance Launchpad in February 2019. The first version was an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, and a native version on Fetch.ai's own blockchain came later. From July 2024, SingularityNET's AGIX and Ocean Protocol's OCEAN began converting into FET, followed by CUDOS later that year. Today the alliance lists Fetch.ai, SingularityNET and CUDOS as members.
Fetch.ai's native chain is built with the Cosmos SDK and runs on proof of stake. There, FET covers transaction fees, and holders who stake it with validators help secure the network and receive a say in governance. Across the alliance's ecosystem, the token also pays for services, among them interactions between AI agents. The 2024 merger left total supply at about 2.63 billion FET, and adding CUDOS lifted it to about 2.7 billion. FET also exists natively on Cardano.
What is Tether (USDT)?
Tether (USDT) is a stablecoin designed to hold a value of 1 US dollar. It launched in 2014 and is issued on several blockchains, including Ethereum and Tron. Because its price is meant to stay close to 1 USD, traders use USDT to price other crypto assets and to keep a dollar-denominated balance without leaving the crypto market.
Why trade Artificial Superintelligence Alliance against USDT?
News from the ASI Alliance, a project that merged several AI tokens into one, and from the wider AI sector can move FET's price. Pairing it with USDT expresses that price as a US dollar figure. Someone who uses FET to pay for services in the alliance's ecosystem can exchange it for USDT, a stablecoin that aims to hold a one-dollar value, and exchange back later. Crypto trading has no closing bell and continues on any day of the week.
