What is Render (RENDER)?
RENDER is the token used on the Render Network, a decentralized marketplace for GPU computing power. Artists and developers who need graphics processors for 3D rendering or AI workloads are connected with node operators who rent out GPUs that would otherwise sit idle. Jules Urbach, the CEO of OTOY, conceived the project. Its token was first sold in October 2017 as RNDR, an Ethereum token, and the public network opened in April 2020. Following a 2023 community vote, RNDR was upgraded one-to-one to RENDER, an SPL token on Solana.
Payment for work follows a model called burn-and-mint equilibrium. The RENDER a customer spends on a rendering or AI job is burned, while operators who finish the work are rewarded with newly issued RENDER. New issuance follows a declining emission schedule. Holders can vote on Render Network Proposals, the process for changing the protocol, emissions included. Maximum supply is about 644.2 million RENDER.
What is Tether (USDT)?
Tether (USDT) is a stablecoin designed to hold a value of 1 US dollar. It launched in 2014 and is issued on several blockchains, including Ethereum and Tron. Because its price is meant to stay close to 1 USD, traders use USDT to price other crypto assets and to keep a dollar-denominated balance without leaving the crypto market.
Why trade Render against USDT?
RENDER is often grouped with AI and decentralized infrastructure (DePIN) tokens, and the RENDER/USDT pair is a direct route into or out of that theme. Converting USDT to RENDER adds exposure to it. Converting back reduces that exposure and leaves you holding USDT, a stablecoin that aims to keep a value close to one US dollar. With the quote in USDT, RENDER's value reads in dollars. Crypto trading does not close at night or on Saturdays and Sundays, so conversions remain available outside banking hours.
