What is Falcon Finance (FF)?
FF is the native token of Falcon Finance, a synthetic dollar protocol built around collateral. Users deposit liquid assets such as stablecoins, Bitcoin, Ether and tokenized real-world assets to mint USDf, a synthetic dollar designed to track the US dollar. The FF token launched in September 2025 and is issued on both Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain.
Stablecoin deposits mint USDf one to one by dollar value, while non-stablecoin assets must be overcollateralized, meaning they back USDf with more value than is minted. USDf can be staked for sUSDf, a yield-bearing token tied to the protocol's trading strategies. FF is the governance token, intended to let holders vote on upgrades, protocol parameters and incentive budgets. Staking FF can also give better minting terms, such as lower overcollateralization ratios and discounted swap fees. Supply is fixed at 10 billion FF, and team and investor allocations vest over three years after a one-year cliff.
What is Tether (USDT)?
Tether (USDT) is a stablecoin designed to hold a value of 1 US dollar. It launched in 2014 and is issued on several blockchains, including Ethereum and Tron. Because its price is meant to stay close to 1 USD, traders use USDT to price other crypto assets and to keep a dollar-denominated balance without leaving the crypto market.
Why trade Falcon Finance against USDT?
FF is not a stablecoin. Unlike USDf, which is designed to track the US dollar, FF has a floating price that moves with demand for Falcon Finance and can change sharply. Quoting FF in USDT gives a direct dollar-terms price and lets you switch between the governance token and a dollar stablecoin balance in one step, without routing through another crypto asset. Traders who follow protocol updates or the token's vesting schedule can use the pair at any hour, including weekends.
