How to buy and sell JUP with USDT on OTCN
Easy trade converts one asset into another at the rate shown in the trade card above. To buy Jupiter, select Buy, enter the amount of USDT you want to spend and check how much JUP you will receive. To sell, switch to Sell and enter the amount of JUP you want to convert back to USDT.

What is Jupiter (JUP)?
Jupiter is a trading platform on the Solana blockchain, and JUP is the token used to govern it. It began as a DEX aggregator that checks many exchanges and liquidity pools to pick a route for each token swap. Perpetual futures, limit orders, lending and other products came later. A pseudonymous developer called Meow co-founded the project. JUP arrived in January 2024 as an airdrop to wallets with a history of using Jupiter.
Voting power in the Jupiter DAO comes from staking. Owners lock JUP to vote on governance proposals and on how DAO assets are allocated, and withdrawing a stake takes seven days. Holding JUP does not entitle anyone to a direct cut of protocol fees. Half of Jupiter's onchain revenue goes to the Litterbox Trust, a long-term reserve that purchases JUP on the open market. JUP is an SPL token. Its total supply was 10 billion at launch, and a later reduction, approved by the community, cut 3 billion.
What is Tether (USDT)?
Tether (USDT) is a stablecoin designed to hold a value of 1 US dollar. It launched in 2014 and is issued on several blockchains, including Ethereum and Tron. Because its price is meant to stay close to 1 USD, traders use USDT to price other crypto assets and to keep a dollar-denominated balance without leaving the crypto market.
Why trade Jupiter against USDT?
Switching between JUP and USDT lets a trader take on or reduce exposure to Jupiter's governance token, with a stablecoin that aims to hold a value of one US dollar on the other side. JUP can react to DAO votes, changes to its supply and updates to the Litterbox Trust buyback program. Quoting it in USDT keeps those moves readable in dollars rather than against another volatile token. Crypto markets have no closing bell, so JUP/USDT also trades overnight and on weekends.
Cryptocurrency prices are highly volatile and you can lose some or all of the money you convert. The information on this page is general market information, not investment advice, and past price movements are not a reliable indicator of future results. Read our
